Attained Re-Accreditation under the Massachusetts Accreditation Commission, becoming the first state re-accredited Police Department in Massachusetts

Named Public Safety Journal’s “Top Gun of the Month” June 2002 for contribution in Crime Analysis. PS Journal is a nationally published public safety journal.

Selected as Conference Chairman for the 2002 International Association of Crime Analysts – Conference held in Orlando Florida, October 2002

Conference Chairman for the Massachusetts Association of Crime Analysts – Conferences held in Danvers, Westfield, Falmouth, and Hyannis Massachusetts

1999

Attained Accreditation under the Massachusetts Accreditation Commission, becoming the first state accredited Police Department in Massachusetts

Created a database tracking system for Accreditation, the “Massachusetts Accreditation Standard Tracking (MAST), and is used by over 150 police agencies in Massachusetts as well as neighboring states for both State and National (C.A.L.E.A.) programs

1997 - 2000

Founded and Organized a statewide group of Crime Analysts known as the Massachusetts Association of Crime Analysts  (MACA), in the Massachusetts and New England Area.  The purpose of the group is sharing information, training and technology in the field of Crime Analysis.  Was elected the President of the group.  Currently entertaining a membership of  90 members statewide.

1996 - 1997

Hired by the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF), Washington D.C. to adapt a program as the standard for Police recruit level training in the State of Massachusetts

1995 - Pres

Hired by The Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council as the State Coordinator - for Applied Patrol Procedures, duties are to write and monitor a program used at all recruit, in-service, and reserve intermittent training environments as the standard for all Police Officers in the State of Massachusetts

1993 - 1997

Selected to be a member of a committee under Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association and Massachusetts Department of Public Safety to Formulate a State Accreditation Program

State First Vice-president of Massachusetts Police Accreditation Coalition (Mass-Pac).  Was One of Eight Charter Members to Develop this Concept of a State Pac in Field of Accreditation and Were the First in the Nation, of Which 39 States Have Similar Programs Based on Ours.

1985 - 1990

Assistant Accreditation Manager of the Waltham Police Department, and were Awarded Accredited Status on November 20th, the 162nd Law Enforcement Agency to Be Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

1988 - 1989

Developed a Comprehensive Job Task Analysis for Law Enforcement, Plan Used by Many Departments for Accreditation and Re-accreditation, Has Been Used in Several States Besides Massachusetts, Other States Have Adapted this Plan as a Plan for Their Own State (NH).  Have Taught Training Session on Same, and Been Asked to Bid on State Surveys in this Field for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
